Newborns

Bonjour! Five easy steps to creating a modern french style nursery for your baby girl. One of my favorite things about being a natural newborn photographer in salt lake city is seeing all the beautiful nurseries! Mom’s inspiration came from her trip to Paris and the elegant chateau of versailles.

1. Start with your walls, the perfect french inspired palette includes creamy whites, soft grays, and pale pinks or french blue. This combination of floral wall paper looks absolutely stunning with the soft pink and natural elements giving this nursery a timeless classic and romantic feel. What a beautiful room for a baby girl.

2. For furniture, select pieces with a distressed or whitewashed finish, and incorporate vintage or antique items with gold. One of my favorite things about this room was this mirror, it truly transported me to the Hall of Mirrors at chateau of versailles.

3. Hang Vintage Frame Art, I Ioved this beautiful paper flower painting. You can search for more vintage frames on Etsy, you will find some beautiful ones!  I love adding photos, for example your maternity photoshoot or your in home newborn photos in your nursery to look at them every day.

4. Make it cozy and safe, include a soft rug, a comfy glider that reclines for those long feedings and blackout curtains to allow your baby sleep better.

5. Complete the look with soft lighting and natural elements like flowers. I also loved the little Eiffel Tower and tiny little shoes. Mom and dad did a beautiful work. We started the photo session in their master bedroom, then living room, nursery and ended outdoors with their beautiful cherry blossom trees. In home newborn photos are truly unique and such a beautiful memory to share with your babies in their very first home.
