Families

As a Newborn and Family Photographer, I am passionate about capturing the tender moments that define the early days of a baby’s life. These photos are more than just images; they are memories that families will cherish forever. However, in today’s digital world, there’s an underlying assumption that every photo taken will eventually find its way onto social media or some corner of the internet. For many parents, this can be a source of concern.

I completely understand and respect the wishes of parents who prefer to keep their newborn’s photos private. Some families request that the images remain offline, and I’m always committed to honoring that choice. Your baby’s privacy and safety are paramount, and I believe that you should have control over where and how your precious moments are shared.

Early this month,I had the honor of photographing a sweet newborn and family that specifically asked me to keep their photos off social media. Rather than sharing their images online, they wanted photos to display in their home, framed on their walls, and on beautiful canvases. My answer was, Absolutely, of course! It is your choice, and you can absolutely ask for this. I wanted to write about this because it’s important to know that your preferences always come first. For families who enjoy sharing their photos online, I also love showcasing those memories and celebrating your little ones with your permission.

While it’s true that not showcasing these beautiful sessions online might limit my marketing reach, I believe in maintaining trust with my clients above all else. Social media and online platforms are powerful tools for photographers, but they should never override a family’s preferences. It’s a delicate balance wanting to grow my portfolio and share my work while also respecting the privacy of those I photograph.

For those who do feel comfortable with online sharing, I am always thrilled to display their images, which helps potential clients see my work. But for those who don’t, rest assured, my priority will always be protecting your family’s privacy, even if it means I have fewer opportunities to showcase my talent on digital platforms.

For me, photography is about building relationships and trust, and I consider it an honor when a family invites me into their home to document the most special moments. Whether those moments remain just between us or are shared more widely, the true reward comes from knowing that I’ve created something meaningful for you to hold onto forever.

So, if you’re looking for a photographer who respects your privacy while delivering high-quality images, I’m here to make that happen, no pressure, no social media. Just memories for you and your family.
